What is Help-Net

Help-Net is a discussion mailing list dedicated to helping people to become more experienced Internet users, and to discussing Internet related topics. Everything that falls into this general definition is appropriate for discussion on Help-Net.
 
 

Examples of Topics Appropriate for Help-Net

The following are examples of topics appropriate for discussion on Help-Net:
questions or comments about terms and jargon related to the Internet, Internet standards, Internet applications (such as e-mail, mailing lists, FTP, IRC, ICQ, WWW, etc.), questions and topics related to software related to the Internet, usage of the Internet, Internet structure, Internet history, Internet culture, Internet ethics (netiquette), files related to the Internet, file formats which are common on the Internet, other networks, how to locate information or other things via the Internet, how to use the Internet wisely and efficiently, Internet accessibility, Internet security, viruses, privacy on the Internet.
